Lisa Manihera

January 2020 Winner of the Lee Malneek Contractors Staff Recognition Awards

The WrDHB staff recognition awards recognise exceptional behaviour, initiative or service that goes "above and beyond" and models the organisational values.

Lisa Manihera is undeniably great at her job but it seems she is the heart of morale in the hospital theatres. She is always doing something special for people, and she is always in great humour.

"It was a complete surprise as I had no idea I was being nominated, and I still don't know who put me forward. I think the awards are a great idea and it is very generous of the sponsor," Lisa said.

Her nominator summed Lisa up nicely by simply saying: "There is no one else like her, and nor is there likely to be, but she should be cloned. Lisa is excellent at what she does, and how she does it."

The other staff nominated in January were;

  • Emma Peters

Emma was nominated because remained calm under exceptional circumstances and provided excellent clinical care. She was challenged and gained skills from seizing the learning opportunity.

  • Keren Williams

Keren was nominated because she has been an outstanding and irreplaceable member of our services here.

  • Kerrie Sutton

Kerrie was nominated because is consistently cheerful, helpful and enthusiastic. Her work ethic exemplifies the values of our DHB. She is supportive of her colleagues and always willing to step in and help.

  • Narina Sewell

Narina was nominated because she has been the driving force behind the VIP program over the last 12 months and really helped to raise awareness of the programme through out the hospital and community.

  • Salina Lange

Salina was nominated due to all the work that she did in change over of stock ordering systems. She was clear in her communications and committed to seeing a job well done and takes a great deal of pride in her work.
