Teresa Smith was nominated for going above and beyond while organising this year's staff flu vaccinations, which she organised under the very stressful circumstances of COVID-19.
Teresa said she was “delighted to receive the award and a little embarrassed as I work in two areas of the DHB that have multiple people who also deserve this award. Thank you to the person that nominated me”.
The other staff nominated in March were;
Kerry was nominated because of the way he handled a situation with a patient. His colleague wanted everyone to be reminded of the skills and professionalism that Kerry practices on a daily basis.
Luke was nominated for his can-do attitude (always with a smile) and for never showing signs of frustration at having his own work interrupted to answer our call for help.
Vicki was nominated by an entire department as they wanted it recognised that she has been a voice for nursing, she’s still smiling and taking time to stop and talk to all of us – making sure those working in the non-office hours are supported.
