Zelda McCutcheon is the winner of the April Staff Recognition Awards. She was so surprised to win and stated "I'm in shock! The others nominated are so much more deserving than me. I'm honoured!!"
Zelda received two separate nominations for the work that she has done.
The two people that nominated her wanted it to be known that Zelda's professionalism, communication with staff, approachable and that she always listens to staff concerns were why she was put forward. Her pleasant manner helps to ease the stressful situations. She was also described as a kind hearted person who always offers to help.
The other staff nominated in April were;
Janeen was nominated because she stepped up to the mark in terms of leadership, initiative and inspiring kindness across the DHB and our Wairarapa Community.
Jenny was nominated because she has performed amazingly in the challenging environment that has been COVID-19. She has co-ordinated and delivered education to the nursing and medical staff. She has also provided orientation for re-deployed staff in acute services.
Warren was nominated because he always behaves in a wonderful manner with patients, their families and all members of staff. He always models all the DHB values. He is never phased and is always kind and considerate.
One other staff member was nominated but asked to be withdrawn because they did not want to be publicly profiled. But they were happy to know that they were appreciated for the work that they do.
