A unique Hospital Sunday church service is being held to reflect and celebrate our region’s life giving health services.

Hospital Sunday is traditionally observed on the Sunday closest to Saint Luke's Day, as Saint Luke is the patron saint of doctors and nurses. This year Reverend Ted Dashfield has organised a special choral evensong, (complete with choir and candles,) to acknowledge the Wairarapa’s health services and the people who deliver these – medical and administrative staff, as well as the chaplain and many volunteers who make the DHB’s mission visible and viable. This is a chance to join in a community expression of appreciation of our hospital and allied health services and the vital role everyone plays in providing better health for all.

Sunday 21 October at 7:00pm, St Matthews Church, Masterton
