We are delighted to announce the winner of last month's Staff Recognition award is:
Ian Childs, Community Coordinator at FOCUS.
Ian's nominator says he brings laughter on a regular basis - especially during very hectic days at work.
"Post Covid-19, the FOCUS team has been inundated with referrals, but Ian still gives you a smile despite the workload allocated to staff," they said.
The awards are randomly drawn and this months nominees included:
Viv Gerritsen
Viv has consistently demonstrated kindness and down-right hardworking qualities. In the comparatively short time she has been with the DHB she has gained (and able to pass on) a huge array of skills, all the while accompanied by kindness and patience for those less skilled! The work she does goes largely unseen, but as a cornerstone of the Quality department I, for one have huge respect and appreciation for her.
Mary Quayle
Mary is well respected for her vast amount of knowledge on a variety of subjects. Her consideration and dedication to providing evidenced based patient cantered care is something that is recognised by her patients and many of her colleagues as something really special. Mary focuses on ways to improve the care delivery in this service and this is evidenced in her lead role in the management of coronary care and her ongoing participation both regionally and nationally in this area.
Joanne Penfold
Joanne works quietly on her desk but when interrupted for requests to do other tasks, she would gladly do it effortlessly and with a smile. Post Covid-19, service has been inundated with referrals but still does her best and never declines a request despite of the circumstance.
Teresa Fraser
Teresa has applied exceptional effort and support to the implementation of TrendCare for the maternity ward whilst concurrently preparing for the upgrade of TrendCare to the latest version.
