Shelli has put in a tremendous amount of time and effort painting a wall in the Post Op recover room in our Perioperative department.
In a voluntary capacity, celebrating both her passions of Art and Nursing, Shelli has created a masterpiece which can be enjoyed by both the patients who come through PACU and her colleagues as well.
Evidence has proven that the environment we recover patients in postoperatively can enhance a patients post op recovery period and even shorten their overall length of stay in hospital. By completing this work, Shelli has created a visual distraction for the patients and a wonderfully refreshing and invigorating talking point.
