No matter what your age or health, it’s never too early to start talking about the care you’d like if you could no longer make decisions for yourself. Have you discussed with anyone:
• what’s important to you
• who you want to involve in decisions about your treatment and care
• how much treatment you’d want and when you’d want it to stop
• where you’d like to be cared for.

Arthur Te Anini has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and found it a huge relief to have talked to his whānau and doctors about advance care planning. "It means I am now free to enjoy my life!"

Hear Arthur Te Anini speak about his advance care plan:
Monday 12 June

National Library, Wellington
