Managing the transition to an integrated lab service

Updated: 22 July

Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa will integrate their laboratory services from 1 November 2015.

Four groups have an active role to manage the transition to the new service.

A Transition Programme team has been set up to co-ordinate a smooth transition and to minimise any impacts to patients, and health professionals. In addition, extensive governance arrangements are in place to provide guidance and oversight.
