All Wairarapa medical practices are able to do Covid-19 tests. Please phone first.

Casual patients not registered with a Wairarapa practice are welcomed for testing at all centres (except Kuripuni).

If you are unwell with flu like symptoms, always ring first.

Once you have had your test stay at home until you get a negative result

  • Act as if you have COVID-19, even if you’re fully vaccinated
  • Go straight home. Do not stop at supermarkets, dairies or anywhere else.
  • Stay at home until you get your results
  • Don’t share food or dishes with the rest of your family

If you have COVID-19

  • You will need to stay at home and isolate for at least 10 complete days.
  • Everyone in your household will also need to stay at home, even if they have been vaccinated.
  • A health team will be in touch regularly to find out how you are feeling and what you need.
  • You will receive a pack to help you monitor your health.
  • You will be tested at least twice during your isolation.
  • A health professional will make the call on when you and your bubble can leave your home.
