Information for NETP (Competent) Portfolios

By the end of the NETP year, the Registered Nurse will be expected to have developed a competency based personal professional portfolio for assessment and must achieve the competent level under the District Health Board Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP), which meets all the NCNZ competencies.

For information and instructions on compiling your NETP portfolio, please refer to the PDRP Handbook (link above) and your NETP Handbook. Along with the competent level PDRP core requirements, you will need to include further evidence when submitting your Competent Level PDRP (as per the NETP Competent PDRP Portfolio Checklist).

These added Portfolio requirements are:

1.Curriculum Vitae: include NETP year, current referees

2.HLTH 550 Entry to Professional Nursing Practice paper: include final transcripts

3.Records of Preceptor/Preceptee meetings (16 hours): each must be dated & signed

Click here for access to the NETP Competent Level One-Stop-Shop - this contains information and all of the forms/documents that you will be required to complete for your competent level PDRP. It is your professional responsibility to ensure that content / signatures etc. that you require from colleagues is obtained prior to the portfolio due date (see NETP Handbook). Communication with preceptors, managers and others is vital to ensure timely submission of your portfolio, and successful completion of your NETP year.
