Michelle was thrilled to win the luxury weekend away, valued at $1,100. She will be booking in for two nights at Parehua - fine dining and bike hire, wine tasting, and relaxation galore.
All 53 of our superstar staff that had been nominated throughout the year were eligible for the random prize, drawn by More FM's Brent Gare here at the DHB. Brent draws all our random winners (thanks More FM!), and Michelle must have a lucky streak as she also won the October award.
We have some fabulous staff at Wairarapa DHB and we are so privileged to be able to recognise their efforts in such a special way. Our grateful thanks to Lee Malneek of Lee Malneek Contractors, who goes out of his way to ensure that DHB staff get "a little boost" to acknowledge their hard work for the community.
Lee knows only too well that the patient experience depends largely on the staff, and that recognising good work that goes above and beyond is a key part of organisational success.
